Pinson Animal Hospital

My husband and I were going to Gulf Shores with our Autistic grandson that loves to slap dogs and you can't tell him no. We knew that we couldn't bring our Jack Tzu dog that has her issues trusting people because she's a Shih Tzu Jack Russell, enough said 🤣 Last time we boarded her at the beach we got a call the next day telling us to pick up our dog because she wouldn't come out of the cage. We knew that was not an option. I looked around and found out that a vet would be a better option because they can give them anti-anxiety meds to help ease the transition. We were going to be gone for a week, and really stressed about this, that it was not going to work. I dropped her off and Sophie did not want to go to the back with her. She did not want to leave mama. By the time we picked her up a week later the girl came out holding Sophie, tail wagging, and they had given her a free bath. The people that work here are really great with animals, very nice, and they really saved our trip. We will be switching to this vet for all of our animal needs.

My husband would take our sweet kitty, Paka, to the vet and both of them were pleased with the staff, clinic & care. Unfortunately, our Paka passed away, but we were relieved it was at home the night before he was scheduled to be euthenized. His remains were taken to Pinson so final aftercare and we just received a beautiful sympathy card from them. It helps ease the pain of losing our fur baby, when you have people that care & understand what you're going through. If we get another pet, Pinson Valley Animal Clinic will be the place we will take him/her.

If I could give no stars, I would. This is the absolute WORST vet clinic I have ever had the misfortune of taking my dog. They do not care about animals and their comfort. All they care about is money. Rather than hiring another doctor or two to make it easier to take the time to build trust with the animals they are treating, they want to speed through and restrain/hold down animals to give shots. They have made my dog bleed more than once. They have created in him an intense amount of anxiety when going to the vet. They have made my dog, who has NEVER shown an inkling of aggression in his life, growl at them with intent. Then told me that I need to sedate him. Money grabbers! I'm not going to pay you more money for some pills to sedate my dog because you don't know how or care enough to do your job! They have given my dog shots that he didn't need because they don't know how to read or don't care enough to be on top of what they're doing. I will NEVER take another of my animals to this place and I highly recommend everyone else find a better vet clinic if you want your animal treated with respect.
