Compassionate people here. I couldn't of asked for a more sensitive and kind staff to handle one of the hardest moments. They remind you of how important empathy is and how you dont need to know someone to help or show love.

The best place ever! My dog Nina (previously named Gordita at the shelter) had heart worms when we adopted her from GBHS. We were told that it would be thousands of dollars to get her treated for the fast-kill method at other vets. I was told to get a second opinion, and I am so glad I did! We did the treatment at Alford, and the first thing I noticed when we took Nina to Alford was that these doctors truly have a passion for caring for animals. My Nina ADORES Dr. Burke, and all the staff at Alford. They truly make it feel like home there. We will be retesting soon to ensure Nina is heartworm negative, but I had such a great experience at Alford. For as long as I live in Alabama, I will be taking my babies here. Thank you for giving Nina the opportunity to thrive!
